I just got back from a wonderful weekend away. When I was packing to go I thought of all the hikes I would go on and all the things I would see. But by the time I arrived I realized that I just didn’t have it in me to go full speed this weekend.
Instead, I spent the last two days drinking wine, reading, and generally lolling about. It was exactly what I needed.
I still got to see some interesting things, but there was no rush, and when I decided to take a nap in the late morning, there was no guilt.
This coming week promises to be a stressful one and I am glad I got some time this weekend to just be alone with my thoughts and mentally fortify myself for whatever surprises lay ahead.
I got home just in time to catch the tail end of a rain shower, and now I am sitting outside enjoying the cool evening air.
Here is to getting through the week ahead unscathed!

What was your wish when at the church bell? (Just kidding)
Just think – if your arms grow strong enough, there will be no need to row another boat – because you will have already done that.
Keep well
