2012 Resolutions Check-In (January)

It is the last day of the month, time to come clean about my progress toward my three resolutions for 2012…

1.) Do something about the fact that I barely speak any Italian, despite having lived in Italy for over two years.
I don’t know if I can say I made any real progress on my Italian.  I did sign up for an actual Italian class, which starts next week.  I guess I can say I made progress toward making progress???

2.) Finally do a pull-up.
No real pull-ups this month, but lots of assisted pull-ups.  Lots.
I found myself a gym partner (Hey, Battle Buddy!) who keeps me accountable, even when I would rather be anywhere but hanging like a dirty sock from the assisted pull-up machine.

3.) Run continuously for longer than five miles.
Yeah…. about that…
Aside from a couple of short runs earlier in the month, I have pretty much made no progress in this area.  I am not being a total cardio bum, my trusty jumprope has come out of retirement and is getting a lot of use lately.  Still, I have to give myself a thumbs down on this one.

Bring it on February!
