It’s the last day of February and it looks like I might survive this crappy month. February did try to throw me a couple more curve balls, including a last minute trip to the states with almost no time to pack and get travel arrangements in order.
As much as I love to travel, I hate, no, I loathe airports. Sitting in a cramped seat for hours on end listening to babies scream is also not high on my list of fun activities. I never seem to drink enough water when I fly and I always land with a major headache. After a 22 hour journey, I arrived at my destination (more on that later) to find this:
I have a terrible history of attracting the worst kind of weather when I fly, and being in a part of the world prone to tornados does not give me warm fuzzies.
Aside from the threat of being sucked up and spit out by an angry cyclone, being sent to the states turned out to be a good thing. On my first day I spent two hours in Target enjoying the splendor and filling my cart with all the American finery I can’t find in Italy.
So, February, it looks like the joke is on you! I survived, and got a trip to Target out of the deal!
Glad you survived!
Just barely!
