I am not a huge fan of birds (except for owls and peacocks, I love those guys). Don’t get me wrong, I love hearing them chirping outside my window, and they are very pretty, but that is where it ends. I have been poop-bombed before, and I never want it to happen again. I don’t care if it is a sign of good luck, I just don’t like getting crapped on.
In Florida there were so many beautiful birds that I spent hours taking pictures. At one point, I even braved the poop-laden walkways of the rookery to get some of my shots.
One of the most interesting birds I met was a white peacock. I had no idea these things even existed!
And of course the more traditional peacock, so pretty!
I think this guy is called a spoonbill, but I really have no idea.
I don’t know what this guy is called, I just thought he looked very cool.
Loving the hair!
I had been trying to get a good shot of this guy for a few minutes, and by the time he turned around to look at me, he looked a little annoyed.
I love the blue on his beak.
One of the birds in the rookery was making a weird sound like “yep yep yep” I think it was the white one. I wish I had recorded some audio, it was a very strange sound.
All these pretty birds, and no poop bombs, that is what I consider a sign of good luck!
