I am on day two of a wicked headache. I am no good at dealing with headaches. Aside from the pain issue, they kind of freak me out. I feel like my brain is swelling and that can’t be good for it.
I get headaches like this when the weather changes abruptly. We went from weeks of rain to sunny and warm within 24 hours. I don’t know if it is the drastic temperature rise or the change in the air pressure, but it sucks.
I have no fool proof remedy for headaches like this, but I do have plenty of things I try each time one strikes. I go for a walk or run, I do yoga headstands (sometimes this makes it much much worse), I use a netti pot, or I just swallow a handful of meds and try to sleep it off. This time I am trying something new. Water therapy. Apparently taking a long shower and switching from hot to cold water several times is supposed to help. I don’t know about that, but I am going to give it a try.
Will report my findings…
