I took this picture in my kitchen a few minutes ago, right after I finished relocating a scorpion.
I didn’t get any pictures of the scorpion because I was trying not to piss him off.
I assume my visitors wandered in through the back door, which I like to open in the evenings (maybe not so much anymore).
I will now be spending the night researching ways to scorpion-proof my house. The dragonflies are still welcome, as long as they keep to themselves.
You’re braver than me!
Oh believe me, there was plenty of squirming on my part when I had to relocate the scorpion!
Should have captured the scorpion and put it on display!
Yeah, I could have put it on my desk at work!
Yikes! A scorpion? Where in the world are you now?
Still in Italy, they are actually pretty common here, I just don’t want them in my kitchen where I walk around barefoot!
Better keep your shoes on. I’m so afraid of scorpions. Luckily I haven’t seen any yet in Dubai.Have a nice weekend.
You relocated the scorpion? If it was me, I would have relocated it to the bottom of a giant book and then to the trash.
And I hate it when there’s a centipede in the house. I’ve always told myself that there is no way I will ever live somewhere that had scorpions or insects big enough to step on me.
I feel confident that one of the major strengths of my relationship with my wife is that we have compatible phobias (she doesn’t like wasps or larger spiders and I get the willies from centipedes). I don’t know what we’d do if we lived somewhere that had beasties that freaked us both out.
More power to you.
