January 2nd: Day Two
On Wednesday I invited a friend over for chicken curry and Downton Abbey. The curry was cooking up nicely when my smoke alarm went off. No problem, just open the back door and the screaming stops, but then the gas burners went off as well. Turns out, having the gas shut off with the smoke alarm is a safety feature I had no idea existed. My landlord had to drive over to help. Kind of embarrassing, but there was wine and curry afterward, and of course Lady Mary and the rest of the crew.
January 3rd: Day Three
I have been looking for a way to display the foreign coins I have laying around and I settled on this project courtesy of pinterest . It took about 30 minutes after work on Thursday and less than $10 in supplies. Score!

Great idea for the coin display, I have a bag of them… now I know a way to get them up on the wall. I’ll have to look on Pintrest.
