I was planning to write about Valentine’s Day; you know, something from the perspective of a girl with lukewarm feelings about the holiday. But I guess that is the thing about lukewarm feelings, they don’t inspire much of anything.
So instead, I am going to show you a picture of my latest arts and crafts project. Is it weird to call it a project when it took about three minutes to put together?
The odd shaped thing in the middle is a “friendship cup” (Coupe de l’Amitié) from the Aosta Valley of northern Italy. You make coffee in the cup and then pass it around, letting your friends drink from the various spouts, but apparently you don’t drink from the same spout each time, the swapping of the spit is what makes it all friendship-y and stuff. Anyway, I think it looks cool with my various goblets of coffee beans, and they are making my house smell amazing.
