About

Wow.  Here I am, with a blog.  A blog that has a weird name.

I chose a line from Alice and Wonderland for my blog title.  When the Mad Hatter meets Alice years after her first adventure down the rabbit hole he finds her older and much changed.   Exasperated, he tells her “You’re not the same as you were, you’ve lost your muchness.  You used to be much more…. muchier”.  That line really resonated with me.  There have been several times in my life when I have been certain I lost my muchness.  This blog is part of my attempt not to lose my muchness again.

I started this blog as a creative outlet and a way to keep in touch with family and friends while I am far away.  Every morning that I wake up in Italy I am thrilled to be here, I am also so sad to be so far away from the people I love most in the world.  I often have stories I want to share but then they seem to get lost between emails and sporadic phone calls.  Hopefully this blog will help me keep track of my stories and also push me not to take this fortunate chapter of my life for granted.
